Independent Contractor for Healing Family Matters Counselling
Kelsey Jacobs holds a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and is a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA).
Kelsey brings a wealth of experience supporting children, teens, and families across multiple settings. She began her career as a Child &Youth Care Counsellor at Oakhill Boys Ranch and later advanced into a supervisory role, where she developed and delivered programs for high-risk youth. She has also worked in agency settings such as Chimo and the Family Center, as well as within the education system and in private practice.
Her background includes supporting children, teens, families, and individuals with trauma histories, supervising family visitations, facilitating reunification processes, and designing family-centered programs that foster resilience, connection, and growth.
At Healing Family Matters Counselling, Kelsey works with children, teens, and families in individual and family therapy. She is also a lead therapist in our 14-Week Unlocking Your ADHD Child’s Superpowers Program: Family Edition, helping families discover practical tools and strategies that turn challenges into strengths.
Kelsey has a particular strength in helping families navigate complex dynamics with compassion, structure, and evidence-informed strategies, creating safe and supportive spaces for healing and growth.
